About Our Meal Services

The current Camden Meals on Wheels menu has over 100 items, which includes meals (both main and mini size), soups, desserts, flavoured milks and juice. We can deliver your meal hot on the day, or frozen which can be stored for convenience.

Generally, meals are delivered between 10:45am and 1:00pm depending on how many volunteers are on the daily delivery run. Deliveries are during the week from Monday to Friday, and the cost of your meals includes delivery with no minimum order requirement or locked in contract obligations.

Meals are always handed to the person, and we will never leave a meal unattended. We want to make sure our clients are safe at home, so our meal deliveries also serve as a welfare check.

We currently have five different quality meal suppliers. We can provide texture-modified meals (pureed) as required.

Our menu is continuously reviewed throughout the year and is changed as required by demand or preference of our clients. We value our clients’ feedback.

Meals can be ordered either online, by phone, in person, by email, or by handing an order to the volunteer delivering the meals. We really do try and cater to our clients’ needs and make the process as simple as possible.

Meals are subsidised by the Australian Federal Government (Dept of Health for Aged Care). The prices advertised on our menu include the subsidy discount. Meals can also be purchased at retail price for those without a Government funded package.

All our meals meet Australian Food Safety Standards with a special focus on balanced nutrition.
