Camden Meals on Wheels were honoured to attend the dawn service in Camden this morning, it was wonderful to see so many people in attendance. The wreath we laid this morning was done so with pride for our clients and volunteers who have served in the Army, the Navy and the Airforce, those who are currently serving and for those who sadly didn’t make it home. We think of the lives they lived, the families they left behind & the courage it took to step into the unknown. Today, Anzac Day remembrance isn’t just about history - it’s about people. It’s about stories carried through generations, about mateship in its truest form and about resilience that continues to shape our nation today. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them”. Lest We Forget ❤️
As part of Falls Prevention Month, alongside our friends at @thephysiospot we hosted a Falls Prevention Workshop that focused on raising awareness, engaging activities and an open conversation about how to minimise the risk of falls. Our attendees had the opportunity to learn about common fall risks and practical ways to reduce them, including balance and strength, making simple home modifications and staying on top of health checks like eye tests and medication reviews. It was great to see everyone getting involved, sharing experiences and leaving with useful tips to support their wellbeing. Preventing falls starts with small every day actions. At Camden Meals on Wheels we remain committed to collaborating with local businesses and community partners to continue bringing our clients the knowledge and support they need to stay safe and independent in their homes for longer.

April is Falls Prevention month and we are doing our bit to support the Seniors in our community by hosting a Falls Prevention education session here at our Camden Meals on Wheels Office and we would love for you to attend: Date: Thursday 16th April Time: 9:30-11am Host: Cameron & Raymond from The Physio Spot. Cost: Free We have 20 seats available for this session. If you would like to secure a spot please call one of our friendly staff on 4655 6822 to book your seat.
